You're looking for "show inventory". You need to be in enable mode to run it.
The Cisco Catalyst 3550 switches don't take SFP fiber modules, they take the old-school 1" wide GBICs. You want a WS-G5484 for multi-mode fiber, or a WS-G5486 for single-mode fiber. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/gigabit-ethernet-gbic-sfp-modules/product_data_sheet09186a008014cb5e.html -- Phil Brutsche [email protected] From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jesse Rink Sent: Friday, August 22, 2014 9:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [NTSysADM] Cisco WS-C3550-24-FX part# for Gb SFP/GBic Anyone know the command I can issue on a Cisco WS-C3550-24-FX to get the physical part # of the 1Gb SFP/Gbic on the switch? Can't seem to get that from the CLI, I'm guessing I'm just not using the right command to find it. Sh ver doesn't seem to cut it. I can't seem to google that 1Gb SFP either with any clear confirmation of what it might be. Jesse Rink Source One Technology, Inc. HP Partner 262 993 2231 any printout thereof.
