That was my first method. Can you provide details of exactly what you pointed
to? Mine mounts as a drive letter and looks like a DVD. That's actually y: in
the sample I included. Does that look correct?

Subject: [NTSysADM] RE: DISM image help -- unable to install KB2919355
We were having some issues getting DISM to work with Windows 8.1 and 2012R2. A
workaround we used was to copy the ISO to the local machine, mount it, and run
the DISM pointing right at the mounted version.

Subject: [NTSysADM] DISM image help -- unable to install KB2919355
Since we seem to be discussing patches today...
I've got a machine which refuses to install KB2919355, Windows 8.1 Update. It
fails with a code 0x80073712.
I've been working through all the suggested methods of repairing this and I've
run into a snag with DISM in the process. In particular I'm trying to go
through the process outlined here...
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-windows_update/error-0x80073712-when-installing-kb-2919355/c5a08cdf-6e41-4b67-b2ae-68f542070840
I've got reports of corrupt packages but I'm unable to clean them up. I'm yet
to find the required syntax to get the reparir source to be recognized.
The particular command line I'm using is a variant of this:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:wim:y:\sources\install.wim:1
/limitaccess
I've actually mounted the WIM as well and have tried using the mounted image
instead combined with the /index switch. I keep getting an error stating the
files could not be found.
Can anyone guide me as to the best way to make the files available? If there's
a better way I'm game as well.
Thanks
