My steps:
Create logical disk.
Disable smart boot
Boot to USB either legacy or uefi depending on apps on server. (Mostly just
uefi anymore.)
Build server from latest iso from ms licensing site.
Add bios admin password
Change boot order to HD, CD, USB, NIC.
Deliver server to department or unit needing it.
Has worked on last 5 servers that have come with the smart boot.

I set up the logical disk using the Array. It recognised the disks, no problem.
I didn't disable smart boot.
Will it work work after I disable smart boot and use a normal UEFI bootable
USB ?

Did you get into the array and set up your logical disk first?

Also did you disable the smart boot option in the bios?

Hi

I'm trying to install Windows Server 2016 on a new HP Proliant DL20 Gen 9
server using a USB drive.
I cannot install even though I tried using UEFI created USB drive. Please
assist.

Thanks.
