David,

Well I guess you could say that I have one leap down. I reestablish a trust
between the 2000 PDC and another PDC on the same network used by our
software control engineer. Of course I had to delete it on both ends and
actually add it back but it works. He is running NT 4.0 with SP 5 on the
machine. For some reason though I am still unable to establish/add a trusts
either way with the PDC in our MIS department. I'm now wondering if possibly
MIS has some type of permissions/security setup that could be preventing the
trust and they simply are over looking it. The other PDC, the one I did
establish Trust with, doesn't have any permissions or security setup on it.
Since I just installed our PDC it doesn't have any security setup either.
Our MIS dept did have to make changes on there side to accommodate the
change in our PDC name and possibly some security needs to be set for the
new PDC name. I'll keep you informed

Mark,

I added my GCS about 3 days ago.
Sounds like I have the same setup as you but my NT 4 domain PDC is running
SP5.
I imported a LMhost file from the WINS console on the W2K server. I then
broke the trust and re-established it again. Now I can use one user account
to admin both domains.>>>BUT
Every now and then I do get the "access denied" message when trying to
access the W2K side from the NT4 side. But, I can view all resources without
a problem.
I am working on finding out why.
Post more of your successful leaps and bounds so I can follow.

David
