If you have netbios, you should be able to connect to the ipc$ of the
other server and manage it using the user/pass combination. I guess to
each his own on internal structure, but if I couldn't manage my remote
servers, and hit every one I would be rethinking my strategy.

Best idea yet. I have access through the remote firewall on the netbios
ports (allowed between the two remote servers only - one to which I am
connected by VNC), so I can drop files. The problem, however, is how to
schedule an AT command to get the remote system to run the batch?
Dameware has tried to connect and told me to get knotted...
