Title: Opinions on anti-virus software...
NAV 75 build 56 !  The clients are managed from a console, the sig updating mechanism is robust and informative, you can setup a Quarantine server, you can setup the managed client, push it out to your desktops and lock it down so your Users don't get anything but what the anti-virus administrator wants them to have. If you have remote sites, you'll want to configure a server as a parent servers at each location. 75 still uses UDP for transport. I hear that NAV8 will be TCP/IP. Also, get a Platinum Support account if you go with NAV75.

Subject: Opinions on anti-virus software...

I'm attempting to make a final decision on anti-virus software for our network. We're running NT 4 SP6a to include IIS, Exchange etc. I am looking at Symantec software for the overall network. We're talking about $1,400 to purchase and being an admin for a city government network that's a whole lot of money. Any opinions good, bad, or indifferent. Please let me know.
