Title: Opinions on anti-virus software...
I have been happy with NAV 7.51 on Win2000 and NetWare.  It's easier to manage than Inoculan and I have had past issues with McAfee.  I just have to get alerting set up properly.  We also run 7.50  on the desktop.  Updating signatures is done easily.

The only drawback is that some folks don't like having the same solution at all points.  Some places like having Solution A at the desktop and Solution B at the SMTP gateways and even Solution C at the Exchange level, so that if B misses it, C might catch it.

Subject: Opinions on anti-virus software...

I'm attempting to make a final decision on anti-virus software for our network. We're running NT 4 SP6a to include IIS, Exchange etc. I am looking at Symantec software for the overall network. We're talking about $1,400 to purchase and being an admin for a city government network that's a whole lot of money. Any opinions good, bad, or indifferent. Please let me know.
