Yes, RS232 is the only method. VT100, 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit, no flow control.

You will need to RS-232 to the box to configure it. We currently use the
Pipeline 130 as our backup and I had to configure it that way.

The last time I used a Pipeline Ascend had the user manuals online. Now that
Lucent has fully acquired Ascend I don't know if that is still the case but
it would be worth taking a look.
