Whew, thanks I feel much better now ;-)

The service actally never starts. The error message is that it can't find a
required file. In the RAS MMC I can add the new server, but as soon as I try
to manage it, the service attempts to start and fails.

No modems, just one outside (public IP) NIC.

One more thing that I just noticed, RemoteAccess no longer shows in the
services list. I guess that's becasue I can't install it. However, other
services that use svchost are running okay.
