What I think you are asking is how to create file (.bat, .exe., etc.) that
will make modifications to the registry. If that is the case, then what I
have used for years is Wilson's WindowWare Winbatch with the compiler
(http://www.windowware.com/winware/wb-first.html). I have used it to
automate installations of applications, modify registry keys/values, check
software revisions, create desktop shortcuts, map network drives and just
about anything else that you could think of to assist users in a Windows
environment. I'm not a programmer, so if I can do these things, anyone can.
