Ok am I the only one wondering what the heck else is going on with your setup
Matt?

Why would you have to toss the DC because DNS records are gone?

Did you figure out what happened to them? Can you re-add records? It seems
like moving FSMOs, removing a DC, re-adding DC, then fixing DNS is a long road
to just fix DNS.

Did I miss part of the conversation offline?

Ok since my DNS is gone my only chose is to seize the FSMO roles from
my good DC and format my the bad one.

Quick question. I have read a few articles about the procedure to do
this. After I seize the roles to clean out the old DC is ntdsutil
/metadata cleanup on the good DC all I need to do?

Thanks

Matt
