I assume you want the UPS just for power conditioning and to survive very
brief outages.  I assume that because if you lose power for a long time, the
cutting machine is off line as well.  So, can't you just set the UPS to
shutdown after 10 minutes on battery?  Or at 98% run time remaining?  (sort
of the opposite the normal configuration).  Then power on when power
detected when the machine powers up.
