Subject: Re: Kace K1000 System Management Appliance

We have it here. I love it. It's saved us sooo much time. Very similar
features to SCCM. Actually we had SCCM but I replaced it with KBox. It's an
"appliance", so upgrades and backups are super easy, too.

Not trying to bash SCCM. That's a good product too, but I don't have staff to
dedicate to it, like it really needs.

We manage about 1,000 PCs/servers with it. It can manage Mac and iPods if you
want, and does Dell updates.

Wanting to see if anyone in this group has experience with the Kace/Dell K1000
Sys Mgmt appliance. We currently use the Bigfix product for this, but since
the IBM acquisition we are looking to see what else is available. After seeing
a demo of Kace last week it looks promising. So has anyone here moved from
Bigfix to Kace. If not, anyone have any experience with Kace to give some
insight.

Thanks
