I definitely recommend the Bionic over the 3 - check the ROM Developers' comments at http://www.rootzwiki.com. Battery life is incredible for a 3g phone, much less a 4g phone. The developers have root (attained before it hit the streets), are working on ClockworkMod Recovery, and custom ROM's are already being developed.

The Droid 3 I have seen, for just a few minutes, and I really like the full keyboard. The Droid Bionic I have not seen. The Droid Bionic has the 4G advantage. However, I really don't use my phone for surfing, but do text and email often from my phone. On the Droid 3 keyboard, I could really fly. Other touch screens I have struggled with.
