Many thanks for all the excellent advice. It is really appreciated. I choose
the Droid Bionic.

Yes, I do use the voice input as well. All depends on where I am. :)

I have the HTC EVO ( Sprint ) and for virtual keyboards I really like Swype.
But to be honest, I like even more the speech to text capability, where I can
literally dictate a message into the SMS text app, or the email apps. Accuracy
is very good, doesn't usually require any more correction than the spelling and
autocorrect mistakes from the keyboard.
Hopefully your version of Android has this feature too ???

Like Jim, I went with the original Droid for the keyboard. I still have it,
but I long since stopped using the keyboard. It's all Swype all the time for
me.

I just went from an original droid with the slide out keyboard to the Bionic.
I had long ago stopped using the slide out keyboard and was just using the
touch screen. I had it on my original and the Bionic comes with it....a
program called Swype. You don't type....you slide your finger from letter to
letter and it figures it out. Very accurate and very fast. Another option is
turn the Bionic sideways the on screen keyboard becomes pretty big...bigger
than the slider and very easy to use if you want to peck type on it. I think
this is one of those instances where until you force yourself to get used to
the onscreen keyboard you won't know what you are missing.

I would not give up the 4G for a sliding keyboard. I don't surf a lot either
but my emails pop, my music streams very well...google maps is lighting fast.

Subject: OT Doid 3 and Droid Bionic question

My boss has offered me the choice of a Droid 3 or a Droid Bionic phone. The
Droid 3 I have seen, for just a few minutes, and I really like the full
keyboard. The Droid Bionic I have not seen. The Droid Bionic has the 4G
advantage. However, I really don't use my phone for surfing, but do text and
email often from my phone. On the Droid 3 keyboard, I could really fly. Other
touch screens I have struggled with.

Can anyone who has used these phones please comment on how they liked them?
The online reviews have been helpful, but I would value your real life opinions
more.

Thanks
Shane
