Assuming a healthy AD, steps 1 - 4 are less than 3 days of work. (I have students do this in two labs in my Desktop Transformation course, and they get through it in 2 days, including spending several hours with ImageX, DISM, and WinPE; but I'd throw in a day up front for discovery and analysis.)
How long it takes per desktop is dependent on LOTS of things: amount of data, where profiles are stored, number of applications, size of new package deployment, speed of network, speed of computer, is it a refresh or replace scenario, etc. Regards, Michael B. Heck our Exchange provider didn't know PGP was an issue, and 'll bet PGP is more prevalent than Bitlocker. We're being steered to Win7/Office 2010/Remove PGP as all being needed to help resolve these issues. At 500 employees at least 450 are on XP / Office 2007 and 300+ have PGP on them. The Win7/2010 end state is desirable, it's the compressed timeframe that isn't.
