In any case you may press the shift key and run as other user

Fine: NT System Admin Issues
Oggetto: Re: Slightly OT: Weird loss of "Run as admin" functionality

The OU had inheritance blocked, so I figured another GPO was out of the
equation. Definitely strange, I will troubleshoot further if I can get the time.

Sent from my POS BlackBerry wireless device, which may wipe itself at any moment

Don't know but have you checked to make sure the default was not changed or
maybe some place else the setting was changed and over rode the default?

Well, for some reason I've had to define the GPO setting for "Prompt for
credentials on the secure desktop" for non-admin users. Very strange, because
it wasn't set before and it worked as I wanted it to. But now that I've
explicitly set this, things are back to normal.

Just come in this morning and my "Run as administrator" on Windows 7 has
stopped working. Before it used to prompt me for credentials, now it just asks
me if I want to allow the program to run. If I click Yes, it obviously runs
under my non-privileged credentials, as I can't do anything I want to.

Anyone got any idea where to turn this behaviour back to the prompt for
credentials? AFAIK nothing has been changed or added, so I am kinda confused,
and so far the Google-god has yielded very little.

TIA,
