Our company just purchased a company in Canada. I have site to site VPN's between our offices but we are presently in different forests and have authentication issues across the domains. I will be traveling this weekend to CA and be moving most of the current hardware back to our office. To make things easier I want to setup a DC in there office. I have already created user accounts for them in our domain and will be migrate all of the computers into our domain while I am their.
They only have 32bit hardware so I plan on installing 2008 and not R2. I believe I only need to perform the following to successfully add a 2008 DC to my 2K3 Forest Functional domain. Adprep /forestprep and then /domainprep on the W2K3 schema master.
