Not exactly what you asked, but we were not able to get Unity (v5, I
think) to work in our Exchange 2003 to 2010 migration. We switched to
Unity Connection.

We had the same experience with having to move the Unity account. If
you don't and haven't migrated all your users to 2010, we found that
migrated users lost the ability to get their voicemail from the phone.

Don - I'd be interested to know if you guys are using Cisco Viewmail
with Outlook and if noticed some of the problems or annoyances we have.
For instance, now having to enter a username and password for the
Viewmail client or getting the following .NET framework error when
trying to forward voicemail:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.
If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and
attempt to continue. Obtain compose audio for Unity is not implemented
yet."

Cisco TAC has been unable to help.

What version of Unity were you running when you did it?

We migrated from 2003 to 2010 and really the only pain was learning that
we had to migrate the Unity account to 2010 first....

Hi all,

We're presently running Exchange 2007 SP2 with Unity 7.0 build
7.0(2)...it seems to work well.

We're planning to migrate to Exchange 2010 SP2....

Even though Cisco has a page on what steps need to be taken to do this
with Unity 5, 7, and 8, I've heard some very uninspiring stories about
how well Exchange 2010 and Unity play together....

Anyone here had a positive experience with Unity and migrating from Ex
2007 to Exchange 2010, or do we ned to give up on Unity and move to
Unity Connection? If you have had a good experience with the migraton,
what was your secret?

Thanks,
