This is a W2K SP4 system: Just did a P2P migration using PowerConvert. Everything went fine but W2K doesn't seem to have the correct USB controller driver for the new hardware, which is a Dell PowerEdge 1950. Called dell and they said the chipset driver is built into the OS. No extra driver needed. I tried reinstalling SP4 again, but that didn't do any good. Still got exclamation marks through the devices in Device manager. Tried removing them and rebooting, same thing.
Anyone know of a generic USB controller driver I could load? The big problem is that these systems only have USB ports no PS2. So once the OS loads I can't logon locally only remotely through RDP. Normally that is fine. But I really would like to fix this. Any suggestions?
