Mark: try right clicking on internet explorer and choosing runas admin, sometimes this works for a certain installs and web installs.
I had one instance when running internet explorer as admin in which, I could not save the file then choose run. I had to run from the initial prompt to get the software to install. Of course, I tried all of these scenarios on skype, and they did not work. On my dropbox remote admin install, I had to change the folder directory in order for it to work correctly. since all of these are time dependent, remote, and very few, I have not gotten to the process monitor or file monitor stage yet.
