Yes I have, in fact just bought a certified 48 port 3560 Gig POE last week for
$3700. Now be aware there are two flavors of used equipment. Certified and
Non. Certified will be a bit more but you can put a smartnet on it.

Subject: Has anyone bought used Cisco equiment? Wondering about licensing it.

I was thinking about picking up a used Cisco IPS.
It wouldn't be a mission critical device.
It would require the latest and greatest Cisco IPS signatures though, which
means it would need new license on it.

Does anyone know how the process works?
Can I just call Cisco and tell them I'm the new owner of a used device and need
a license?

Has anyone bought used Cisco equiment before and licensed it?

Thanks,
Jon
