I was thinking about picking up a used Cisco IPS. It wouldn't be a mission critical device. It would require the latest and greatest Cisco IPS signatures though, which means it would need new license on it. Does anyone know how the process works? Can I just call Cisco and tell them I'm the new owner of a used device and need a license? Has anyone bought used Cisco equiment before and licensed it?
