I have a file and application server in my home running Win2k3 Server SP2. One of the main applications, a media server, relies heavily on MySQL databases. I was thinking of increasing performance of this app, as well as increasing boot speed, by installing an SSD for the OS, applications and data.

My understanding is that Win2k3 doesn't support TRIM for SSD maintenance. Is there a workaround, or should SSDs not be used with this OS?
