One workaround is to use a self-triming SSD. This is also known as internal 
data garbage collection.

We purchased some Kingston V+100s for this very reason.

I have been told that intel and samsung drives have internal data garbage 
collection as well, but it is non-aggressive... aka it waits until the drive is 
not busy for some time. I don't see anything to verify this, so check with them 
on this.
