We deal primarily with System Center and related jobs. Mostly short term
jobs coming through.

Also, there's a few folks that like to help tune-up resumes. Might be good
for someone entering the US job market:

I don't think you'll have a problem finding a job on the upper East coast,
as I received just as many job notices for upstate NJ and NY than I did for
my immediate area.

Agreed with Webster. Lots of jobs for Citrix, virtualization, and storage
here. There are a number of Citrix partners in my area, and they have
plenty of work (I use a local one for occasional assistance with planning
and implementation). Smaller shops like mine (1,000 employees and I'm the
engineer for everything) lean on those sort of partners for assistance where
I don't have enough time I wish I had for Citrix.

On the other hand I don't see many "general" IT jobs about, at least around
here. My former boss resigned and it took him months to find something.

Go for it and best wishes.

I'm waiting to hear from sister-in-law about all the relevant boxes we need
to tick. I'm sure I will find out pretty soon!

You have two VERY hot skills: Citrix and AppSense. I seriously doubt you
will have any trouble finding contract work on this side of the pond.

Won't you need a sponsor to come over?
