Well the security arena is basically the same way, but I can't say the
same for the general IT market overall but compared to other markets (
business, finance, etc etc its probably better than most)

I am working in San Diego this week and the customer says the IT
unemployment rate is less than 1%.  They are struggling trying to fill
all their open positions.  Of course, I wouldn't want to live in a place
where a starter home costs several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But the boss here says he lives right off the beach and can surf (on the
water, not the Internet) for an hour and then drive to work.

 

If you have Citrix or AppSense skills the market is wide open just about
across the USA.
