I can do the same with McAfee, or I can apply "tags" and sort/apply them that 
way which achieves the same thing.

I use Sophos and have different AD OU's for DC's, servers, LT's and desktop I 
can then set exclusions by OU's, very nice.

Obviously the most secure way is to be specific to each server role, but I 
don't know of the management overhead is worth it. Our server environment here 
isn't as static as you might think...
