Actually probably didn't make myself fully clear - I am talking about GPO 
Folder Redirection of AppData. UPM actually works like a roaming profile in 
that it copies the data locally and then up to the network again (just a bit 
more intelligently than a standard roaming profile), so no, I must retract my 
comment previously, UPM doesn't behave like a redirected folder.

I'd be interested still to know if you are using the streaming options though.

I was referring to actually configuring redirection of the AppData folder
from the profile to the network, yeah.

Curious, if you use UPM, do you use the file streaming option? That would
reduce the amount of writes to the network and would probably be a "best of
both worlds" solution as it only commits data at certain times.
