ABE is enabled by default when you use the File Server role and add the
shares through the Server Manager console.  You have to explicitly turn it
OFF for new shares (or so I¹ve read in the new Redmond magazine.  Still
haven¹t gotten a chance to work with 2008, but now that it¹s RTM... )
