You do realize that SCE 2010 EOL is 2014 and they are no longer developing
any new versions?

Subject: Anyone have experience with System Center Essentials?

We use System Center Essentials 2007. I'd like to migrate it to System
Center Essentials 2010. We own licenses for that version but it was not
purchase with Software Assurance, unfortunately.

The server that is running SCE 2007 does not support an upgrade, and I'd
prefer to start on a new server anyway.

I've read the MS blogs about installing SCE 2010 and migrating from one 2010
server to another, but I can't find anything about migrating from a 2007
server to 2010 server. To keep the client communication going, I know I
have to decommission the old server and build the new one with the same
FQDN. Beyond that I'm not sure.

Anyone have any suggestions? The product is so old there isn't much that I
could find on Google/Bing.

Thanks
