We have done a number of them since almost everytime we have to
reactivate Windows anyway since the HW changed enough. Sometimes it
doesn't, but we are just able to enter their new VL code and away it
rolls. I know it shouldn't work that way, but I have done three or 4
now this way and it does. If you can purchase a VL version you can try
it, wont hurt. But you cannot move OEM licenses.

My understanding is that OEM windows licenses are not transferable to
different hardware.

Apparently you cannot move an oem version of windows to vmware. Anyone
got any idea how to work around this?

Microsoft has been no help. They just give me another number of
somebody who doesn't speak English.
