I had an issue where my ISP changed my IP (we aren't promised static,
but it usually stays the same) and all of the sudden google started
redirecting to google.es....

It eventually stopped, but it was a pain to deal with - every system at
home had to have a cookie set specifically (by clicking "Google.com in
English") so that it wouldn't revert to google.es


PITA if you ask me, but it eventually cleared up and didn't redirect
anymore, even without the cookie, but it took about a month and a half.
