I probably could sell into Canada. Never had the need to before being based
in Arizona. Axis has a reseller locator on their web site I believe.

I'm not sure on the event logging (what you mean be event logging) as I will
have to check. I know that the appropriate cameras can be triggered to start
recording based on motion or sound. One site I have the motion set to off
hours. Only thing it has captured so far is the cleaning crew at night. We
spot check every once in a while. For the notification I believe you have a
couple of options, email and I think text messaging.

Storage locations can be local or a server. This software allows you to
watch multiple cameras from one console. It can be used from the server or
installed on your PC. You can also web into each individual camera if you
need to. There isn't anything built in to automatically move the files but I
see no reason a script couldn't be created that would do this. The couple of
places that are storing the files keep them for a week before the files are
automatically deleted.

I would think that as long as you can find the file it can be viewed. Never
had to do that. I might try this at a client site when I am there to see if
that is possible. All of my installs have been pretty basic. Not a big need
for much more than monitoring the premises.

Hope this helps.

Can you sell into Canada?

How about the event logging and notification?

Regarding storage locations, what kind of flexibility does it provide? Could
I have it store locally for reliability and move (automatically) to an
archival location that is still usable/available for playback/remote
viewing?

Thanks!

I sell the AXIS cameras and have been happy with their stuff. For a
description of the software you are looking for try
http://www.axis.com/products/video/software/index.htm.

It's been pretty flexible for what the clients have needed.

Anyone know what the software for these cameras is like?
I need to roll out another setup and I don't want to use the stuff I have in
the past, I am hoping for something a little more enterprisable then what I
have (Aver).

Something that supports event management and logging with remote
notifications would be good.

Thanks!
