Sounds like the client had a temp license from somewhere else that is
expiring.

tsctst.exe on the client is your friend in cases like this.

Should it not just work? This is what google is telling me. No license
server needed. It will ignore that for the trial period.

To be able to log in you need to be a member of either the Remote
Desktop Users group or the Administrators group.
