You have to use some kind of directory service to do what you want, whether it's WINS or DNS is up to you but you don't get this for free. Carl

Each building here on our complex is it's own subnet, and in the main building I'd like to be able to see all PCs in "entire network". We are currently not an Active Directory site, so PCs are not in a domain and not registered in DNS. I'd rather not run WINS servers if I can avoid it. I know this issue will go away once we migrate to Active Directory and register PCs in DNS, but is there any way I can do this now? If I need to see just one PC I can get the name via nbtstat, but that can be cumbersome.
