I have a HP 2040dn at home with a built in Jet Direct card. This is attached to a switch, and the switch to a wifi router (not sure this is relevant though).
On a friends laptop last night I unzipped the HP drivers (same as I use my PC and laptop) and then added a TCP/IP port, and browsed to the new driver directory. Printer seemed to install ok, but the drivers seem to think the printer has letter sized paper in it - rather than A4 (as I am in the UK), and it also "ignores" the duplex unit, thus forcing me to do manual duplexing. Both my PC and Laptop (both Win XP Pro sp2) have the same drivers installed - same process and they work fine. The only difference is that this laptop (windows xp home, iirc) is a bit behind with its Windows updates.
