Hi Sean,

I am using veritas drivers and compression is disabled on tape. Only on
disk side and set on software. What is the average speed rate you get?

Hey Ara,

I had an similiar issue with BE 11D when it first came out. We were
performing backups to disk and then a 2nd job started when that
completed to copy them to tape. The two things I can think of off hand
to check for are that you are using the symantec BE driver and not the
tape device's driver. The second is make sure you do not have software
& hardware compression both enabled. This can cause issues especially
when performing a 2nd backup of the same data. Let me know if this
helps.

Hi

Is anyone doing backup to disk and then copy to tape job? We are
experiencing an issue which the disk part is done extremely fast ( 3 GB
a minute) but the tape part is done at (70 MB a minute)

Any help would be appreciated. I might be missing some little check box
somewhere
