DFS-R was introduced in R2. Improved in 2008.

Anyone know if the "Cross-File Replication (DFS-R)" is a new feature in
2008, or the same as what you can load in with WS03 R2?  Right now, WS03 R2
Standard does what I think they are saying is only available on WS08
Enterprise?  That's could mean about 20 server upgrades for us just for DFS.

Does this chart sum up the differences between Standard and Enterprise,
anything the chart is missing. I need to spend my budget before April 18th.
This is on the list for a summer project but I just found out about the new
deadline for PO's. So I need to decide fast. I intend to just upgrade our
six DC's for now. They are just DC's/DHCP and DNS.
