Oh! I think it has to be in standard - Active Directory uses it in replication.
I'll ask MSFT and see if I can get a definitive reply (and get the website
fixed).

That's what I thought, but couldn't remember if that was the name. But what
I'm saying is that I can run DFS-R on R2 STANDARD (we are running that on most
servers). The chart says you have to get WS08 ENTERPRISE to run the same
(albeit improved/updated) feature?

DFS-R was introduced in R2. Improved in 2008.

Anyone know if the "Cross-File Replication (DFS-R)" is a new feature in 2008,
or the same as what you can load in with WS03 R2? Right now, WS03 R2 Standard
does what I think they are saying is only available on WS08 Enterprise? That's
could mean about 20 server upgrades for us just for DFS...

Does this chart sum up the differences between Standard and Enterprise,
anything the chart is missing. I need to spend my budget before April 18th.
This is on the list for a summer project but I just found out about the new
deadline for PO's. So I need to decide fast. I intend to just upgrade our six
DC's for now. They are just DC's/DHCP and DNS.
