I've seen it before, when you've changed your password on another
machine (or from the server) but have remained actively logged into
another machine..   The machine your logged into gets some kind of
signal or notice (when it tries to authenticate you against the domain)
that the users password has just changed.

 

It's only happened to me once in a blue moon, but I'm pretty sure it's
legit.
