I think I answered some of my own questions, the "with-hyper-v" means the
management components, and MS calls the optimized kernel "Enlightened" so I am
still yet to know if all 2008 editions are "Enlightened" or not.

As far s the availability, its now RC0 I think but I was interested in playing
with it to see how it works so far.

Hyper-V will come out as an update in a few months, is my understanding from an
article in Windows IT Pro, February edition.

Does Windows Server 2008 have a kernel that's optimized for virtualization? I

available in both versions or just the Hyper-v version?

Thanks!
