Server died, lost two drives in the RAID 5 array. Have a full backup using NTBackup to external USB drive. Selections were the C: drive and the Exchange information store. Have successfully restored some files to local computers so some work can be done.
Server rebuilt and currently applying the service packs and will then update after that so everything will be current. Rebuilt server is different in some cases. Name is the same but domain was entered as .local instead of .com. Server.domain.local instead of server.domain.com. Original drive config was RAID 5, 3 disks, all C: drive. Now has C: drive and RAID 5 as D: drive. Added another drive for C:. Tried doing a restore of the server but that didn't work. Received files missing at system startup. Hence the rebuilding of the server. PSS was called on this. Question: Any tips or suggestions on getting the store mounted on the new server. I'm looking at some KB articles but wanted to make sure I get all the information I need to make this as smooth as possible. I know I might have to call PSS in the end though. Thanks.
