Steve,

Define "very low". I'm an all iSCSI shop (Dell\Equallogic) with GB
switches (Cisco 3750s) and performance is great, even with SQL/Exchange
2003/Sharepoint/everything else on the SAN. However, I'm mostly
virtualized via ESX. It all depends on your needs/benchmarks.

As far as your iSCSI access question, there is no "license" needed for a
2003 server to access an iSCSI LUN, just the free MS iSCSI initiator,
download here.

I appreciate the responses from everyone.

low'. Anyone care to chime in on this point?

Miguel, what do you mean I would have to purchase an extra license? Dell
told me it was a simple matter of down loading a free drive from MS to
get iSCSI to work on a Windows 2003 server,

Thanks.

Steve
