I remember ScriptLogic needing the server in the browse list when you added
a DC (a nightmare involving lots of use of browstat, exe when building a new
NT4 DC) but I assume they got past that limitation somehow. After that, I've
never had any need for the browser service to function correctly.

Subject: Computer Browser service

Does anyone here leave the computer browser service on for workstations and
member servers? I don't for my personal business' clients, but my day job
requires solid documentation on why we should turn off the browser service
via GPO. I've already read this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188001

Any other links or suggestions would be helpful.
