I've got a web based application using a MSSQL back-end that sits on three (3) servers that are also using the windows network load balance service. This solution was implemented long before my arrival but it's been dumped in my lap and I have a slew of issues to resolve.
Layout: app.mydomain.com server1 server2 - virtual IP server3 Issue: When connecting to Network load balance manager I'm unable to connect with the server name and instead have to use IP. Issue: When I do connect I'm able to access the application. For some reason connectivity between the application and the server(s) has been lost and doesn't seem to get restored until I make a connection. I check the logs and don't see anything relevant on the server or app side. I'm still getting familar with the environment as a whole but wanted to throw this out to see if anyone has had any familiarity with this.
