The 3com IntelliJack devices are slightly cheaper and are proper managed switches.
The IMC Networks devices are merely unmanaged switches you an power via 802.3af. Linksys makes these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124257 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124258 5- and 8-port web-managed gigabit switches that can be powered by 802.3af on port 1. Costs 60% of what the IMC Networks devices cost. Caveats: They're Linksys, so quality is questionable. Their web-managed switches are notorious for being unmanageable if you don't have IE6.
