Problem with those are the silly things people do in the windows world with fake raid and some el cheapo controllers. I used to use a knoppix and some other disc untill PE 2.0 came out for free. These nix distros don't support those fake raid and some controllers that only windows do period, you can't just modprobe/insmod them as they dont make drivers:/.
