Thanks for all the suggestions. I forgot to mention, the client want the changes to be sync immediately and not wait for the next scheduled. I have tried telling him to use offline folders or VSS but seems like he is not interested. He wanted a solution from some branded company like Symantec, CA etc.
The main issue is his request of "sync immediately" to the shared storage which I find it difficult to achieve.
