You could also use an IPKVM. We have deployed this before when we needed a portable solution for accessing the keyboard, screen and mouse of any computer (regardless of operating system, when we need BIOS access, for apps that are finnicky about Remote Desktop, etc...).
The model we have is the ATEN CN-6000 (http://www.aten-usa.com/?product&cat=583&Item=CN6000) and just like a KVM would, it plugs into the VGA, keyboard and mouse ports on the back of the machine. It has passthrough ports so the local console is still useable as well. Assign the ATEN an IP address on the network and you can access it from anywhere via a Java app built in, or a local application you run. There resides a pc on their network that has a specialized application for printing. I need to be able to gain access of the display, keyboard and mouse from my office or my home to access that application periodically during the week without any user intervention on their side. We currently use "gotomeeting.com" but that requires them to start a meeting and since the pc is in a distant location in their building they don't like it. Anyone have a good solution?
